I'm a member of the PF in Royal Oak. I love it. Very clean. Every one is friendly. Its a great place to go work out. Highly recommend it.
Great location for me. Only a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk! Now I have no excuse not to go to the gym. :) as far as people complaining about the trainers, PF provides FREE, very basic training. There is no personalized training at Planet Fitness. If thats what you are looking for, go elsewhere, pay double the monthly fees plus hundreds extra for the personalized training sessions.
It's nice to work out in a gym where no one judges/ forces their opinion on your workout routine. And it's open 24/7 making it very convenient for any schedule. In addition, it is a clean gym and has no foul odor.
I have been to many PFs in the US and Canada and I can honestly say that this location is one of the best ones. The size is incredible, you have plenty of room to work without having to worry about hitting other people or getting on their way. This gym has the oak signature on their ceiling. Staff is very friendly and greet you on every visit. The only tip is that I would avoid going there around 6pm as it gets the most crowded, however, it is still bearable to enjoy your workout regardless.
I always go late at night or early in the morning to avoid the after work rush. The staff is super friendly and they keep the place looking spotless at all times
