I just love this old and beautiful Theater -I don't mind driving 25 miles just to come an attend an amazing often Independent Film that is not shown elsewhere. Always thought provoking, sentimental, or just plain fun. :-) Plus all the kids working here are always so friendly, professional, and very helpful. Thank you.
Great little movie theater, small town feel. Always showing new films, often ones that aren’t being shown at the bigger theaters. Would love if they served beer!
Amazing! The biggest positive is that they show smaller and more independent movies that bigger theaters don't show. For people like me that enjoy them, this place is a godsend. I also love the old school feel and look of this theater that's situated in a pleasant corner of downtown Royal Oak. The only thing keeping me from rating it 5 stars is the seats of the auditoriums. They are not nearly as spacious or roomy as bigger theaters and don't have head rests, but to be fair, it is a smaller theater and it's expected with their level of business. On top of that, you usually forget about the seat you're sitting in after about 10 minutes, since the movies they show are so good they make you forget!
The theater is old, but the movies are unique. It was good showing my son what theaters looked like when I was his age
Awesome place. Drive quite a ways to see old movies. Midnight madness is so much fun
